As I watch the USA play Finland in the semi final i was hoping to be entertained. I like finland, How they stood up again Nazi agresion during World War II, then how they also unified against Communist Russia.
Fast forward 80 years and i am still a fan of the Scandanavian country. What i am a not a fan of is corruption and home team calls. That is exactly what i saw when the game was 3-2 and the USA threatening.
A USA player put his stick to the left of a finish defenseman, the Finihs defenseman clamped his arm around the stick so the usa could not get control of the stick back. The ref calls a penalty on the USA player....why.
Well, the home team gets the call, This challenges the integrity of the game, the integrity of the tournament and thie intergity of IIHF.
if there was a call it should of been holding on the finihs defenseman. So how can people enjoy a sport then there is clear unfairness in the game.
